Jennifer and Cameron Mitchell are pastors, leaders, and missionaries at heart whose lives reflect a shared commitment to Jesus Christ, the local church, and the transformation of people and communities.
Their story is deeply rooted in Uganda, East Africa, where Jennifer was born and raised and where Cameron later lived and served in missions. It was there that Jennifer and Cameron met, served together, and were married, beginning a shared journey of faith, family, and ministry. Together, they helped oversee Uganda Jesus Village, serving vulnerable children and communities. Those formative years established in them a lasting commitment to discipleship, compassionate outreach, reconciliation, and the practical expression of the Gospel.
In 2011, Jennifer relocated from Uganda to Canada, beginning a new chapter of ministry alongside Cameron. Together, they founded Freedom and Fire Ministries, extending their work in Uganda while ministering itinerantly across Canada. Their cross-cultural journey has given them a heart for nations and a conviction that the Gospel has the power to restore lives, strengthen families, develop leaders, and transform communities.
Alongside their shared ministry, Cameron has devoted decades to public service as a firefighter, including more than 15 years of volunteer service with Parkland County and 20 years with Edmonton Fire Rescue Services. His life and leadership are marked by steadfast service, integrity, compassion, and a genuine heart for people.
In 2020, Jennifer and Cameron stepped into pastoral ministry together at Lighthouse Church in Alberta, Canada, where Jennifer serves as Lead Pastor. In 2025, the church became Kingdom Advance Church, marking a new chapter in its vision and continued mission to advance the Kingdom of God.
Together, they carry a heart to cultivate a healthy, Spirit-filled church where people encounter Jesus, grow in spiritual maturity, and are equipped to live out their faith with purpose and influence.
Jennifer, a pastor, speaker, and prophetic voice, is passionate about awakening hearts to the presence of God, building and developing leaders, and equipping believers to walk confidently in their identity, authority, and purpose in Christ. Her ministry is marked by biblical depth, prophetic insight, practical wisdom, and a strong commitment to the ministry of reconciliation.
Together, Jennifer and Cameron are passionate about loving people well, raising strong disciples and leaders, strengthening families and the local church, and seeing generations transformed by the presence and power of God.
For Jennifer and Cameron, ministry extends far beyond the platform, it is a life of faith, family, service, and wholehearted devotion to Jesus, with a desire to see people restored, leaders raised, and communities transformed for the Kingdom of God.
