IN THE BIBLE, Gatekeepers were Elders of the land, appointed to site at each gate around cities, palaces and temples, chosen because of their devotion to God, their long experience in life, and their divine wisdom. They were esteemed and set apart along with the priests, the singers, and the Levites who served the Lord. Their knowledge and understanding was valued to the point that business transactions between two parties were not official, until it took place in the presence of and with the approval of the Gatekeepers. Their reasoning and good judgement is why Gatekeepers were sought out to solve troubling matters among the people of God.
IN OUR DAY, the Elders of the Church of Jesus have gained godly wisdom and experience in the matters of life, through their commitment to serve the Lord. We have so much to contribute to the lives of God’s children of all ages. We are the Gatekeepers of the hearts of Lighthouse Church.
VISION: To place value on womanhood and humanity, to see the Kingdom of God established on earth.
PURPOSE: Our purpose is to gather, equip and mobilize, who stand together in unity. (2 Tim. 1:6-7).
MISSION: We are women who seek to know Christ, grow in relationship with Him and each other, discover how to walk in identity, function in giftedness and become who we are created to be. (Heb. 10:24)
We invite men from our community to connect and discuss topics that develop us as godly men. Men of Purpose is for all men, who are hungry to learn about God and grow in their spiritual walk.
